Get Grounded!

Grounding, also called Earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that "ground" or electrically reconnect you to the earth. Research has demonstrated that PEMF treatment heals bones faster, regenerates parts of tissue (such as the liver), reduces pain from arthritis and more! PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. Devices that utilize PEMF technology emit electromagnetic waves at a frequency similar to nature in order to stimulate and encourage your body’s natural recovery process. This process is also know as "Grounding".

You may have heard about PEMF therapy from your doctor, or maybe you’ve read about it in the news. If you’re a science buff, you might even know that it has been used by NASA to help mitigate bone loss and muscle atrophy in astronauts.

If you have suffered from a recent injury, or need joint pain relief, PEMF therapy may be able to help. PEMF therapy is a non-drug form of pain relief, and even better, it has never been associated with any negative side effects.

Get The Facts

Q: Why PEMF Works?

The idea behind it is that the energy pulses penetrate and stimulate cells at the injury site, and everywhere around it. PEMF expert Dr. Gary Ryan, explains, "Based on a lot of research that was done at Yale, it is apparent that just about any pathology in the body is preceded by a drop in cell charge. Now we have technology that will reach down to the level of a cell that has a lost charge and, due to the high intensity of the pulse, bring that pulse back to normal or a more normal situation, which allows it to replicate and produce a more normal cell." So, introducing a low-level electromagnetic field of energy into the body can bring those charges back up and restore healthy electrochemical changes. Your body uses the energy to heal itself through its natural healing mechanisms. Depending on the extent of the damaged tissue, PEMF can address a slight imbalance quickly, like a pulled muscle, or it can work to bring a more substantial change over time, like restoring a sluggish organ system.

Q: Is PEMF dangerous?

You cannot use PEMF if you have a pacemaker. Other than that, it is completely safe. PEMF is an all natural form of therapy. It replicates magnetic frequencies exactly the same as the ones the Earth emits. It has no side effects and you can use it for as long as you want. You should avoid PEMF therapy if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant. If you have any doubts about whether PEMF is safe for you, consult your healthcare professional before using it.

Q: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME IN?

Everyone heals at different rates, and bodies works differently. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy promotes optimal function and cell health, but your desired health outcomes depend on more than just PEMF therapy. You may need treatments over the course of 3 weeks to 9 weeks. Research supports positive results in PEMF therapy at three sessions per week for a minimum of 15 - 60 minute periods.

Q: Are your mats EMF-FREE?

Yes, our mat must pass multiple quality assurance tests for EMF filtration. Various layers within each mat work to block and eliminate EMF radiation. Most PEMF treatments and maintenance will fall in the 5-30 Hz range, which is less than you get from a thunderstorm.

Origins of PEMF Therapy:

Electromagnetic field therapy has been in use since the invention of electricity. It was widely adopted in East and Western Europe, but its use was restricted to animals in North America until recently. Veterinarians became the first health professionals to use PEMF Therapy, usually to heal broken legs in racehorses. (Wikipedia)
